The Connaught is now open for breakfast every Saturday morning from 10am whether you’re just after a bacon sandwich and some coffee or a full-on fry-up. You can choose from:
The Big Breakfast- Grilled streaky bacon, black pudding, herb sausages, field mushrooms, sautéed potato, butter fried hens egg, Heinz beans and toast. £9.95
The Connaught Special – Grilled streaky bacon, herb sausage, butter fried hens egg, Heinz beans and toast. £7.95
The Veggie Breakfast – Cheese and vegetable hash with balsamic vine tomatoes, butter fried hen’s egg, field mushroom and Heinz beans. £8.50
Eggs Benedict – Two poached hen’s eggs, cured ham, toast and hollandaise. £7.95
Smoked salmon and scrambled egg with lemon and peppered pea shoots on toast. £8.50
Eggs on toast (your call) £3.50
Bacon or sausage sandwich £4.95
Toast and preserves £1.95
Our regular menu starts at 12pm as normal as well.

With Christmas now firmly behind us we are looking forward to the days getting longer and hopefully a lovely springtime on the way – maybe we’ll even get some early use out of our garden before summer!

Mon 4th to Fri 8th March is the Great British Pie week and to celebrate we’re putting on an extra menu of delicious handmade pies and mash alongside our regular menu.
Step 1 – Choose a pie:
Wild rabbit & pancetta
Smoked haddock & mushroom
Chicken & cider-braised ham hock
Aged rump steak & Brakspear ale
Cambozola, pumpkin & mushroom (v)
Step 2 – Choose your mashed potato:
Tapenade
Smoked cheese & chive
Jalapeno & caramelised onion
Sussex black pudding champ
Classic buttered mash
Step 3 – Choose your sauce:
Onion gravy
Parsley liquor
Veggie gravy
…all for only £10.95 all week. Vote for YOUR favourite pie in the comments section below and the most popular will be added to next month’s regular menu. Also, one lucky voter will be picked to win a meal for two at the Connaught! Votes must be in by March 10th.
