Some places make you feel uncomfortable if you bring the kids. Not so the Connaught. We turned out with two buggies and were made to feel welcome straight away. The food was lovely by the way!
We went for Valentines Day. The place has that ‘special feel’ that makes a trip there really worthwhile. The food was delicious and the staff attentive. Enough said
We stumbled across the Connaught and were amazed by this hidden gem. Great music, people and ales. Next time we’ll be back for food as the plates coming out looked delicious.

I had a wonderful 40th birthday evening at the Connaught. None of us could fault it – the food and the staff were lovely and we had a great time.
There are always several vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu and the ones that we’ve had have been delicious, with gorgeous combinations of flavours. The atmosphere is unpretentious, with friendly and helpful staff. A great night out.
